Clock Roadshow

St. Mary’s Clock Fund raises £4200 on first fundraising day*.

More than 150 visitors came to see the rare and precious Arts & Crafts clock
at St. Mary’s Farnham Royal on the 4th July.

Valuations experts from Uxbridge Clock and Watch Fairs were on hand to
identify and value watches and clocks brought in, and more than 60 people
took advantage of this opportunity to find out more about their timepieces.

Fundraisers have a “Time Challenge” to restore the 1890’s clock to tick and
chime again before the end of the year.

Thanks to generous donations, sponsorship of “Go for Gold”, and visitors
joining the 100 Club, over £4280 was raised towards the target restoration
cost of £12500.

Sponsors are still needed to help gild the last 62 minutes across the two
faces (minutes start at £12, and you receive a Gilded “Go for Gold”
Certificate), or to join the 100 Club with the chance of big prizes on each
of the five monthly draws between the 30th August and Christmas.
